"I would say my first real experience with upper level baseball came when I got to play under Eric when I was 13. He treated us like we were all going to move on and play beyond high school, and most of us did. It was an atmosphere of learning, but also a real taste of competitive baseball. I learned things from him that I still apply to my everyday routines in pro ball. My parents and I couldn't be more appreciative of how caring Eric was to my personal development. If I ever had a chance to give a recommendation to a young ball player who was looking to take the next step in their development, I wouldn't hesitate sending them to Eric Cormell."

"Eric Cormell is a once in a lifetime coach that has an uncanny focus on development and your baseball skill set. If you are serious about baseball and being the best you can be, you would be lucky to play for him."

"I first met Eric at Lake Erie College, he was very influential in my development as a baseball player. His work ethic, knowledge, and love for the game was very noticeable to me after the first time he spoke and worked with our team. I still see him every off season when I go to work out and hit inside. He is relentlessly working with the younger generation and sharing his passion, while showing them how to have fun and enjoy the game. Any player interested in furthering their career in the game of baseball will learn a lot and enjoy working with him."

 tESTIMONIALS

"I started working with Eric at age 14. Eric constantly pushed me and the rest of the team to do our best and was able to get the most out of us as individuals and as a team. Even after high school I would work with Eric individually where he designed a hitting, throwing and strength program for me as well. Working with Eric ultimately was what took me to the next level as a player and a person. Eric helped develop my not just my physical skills better than anyone else, but my mental approach to the game. He has been through the ups and downs of this game and brings a great perspective I was able to learn from to play at a division 1 program at Loyola Marymount and go on to play in the Cincinnati Reds organization. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking to reach the next level to play for Eric if you are lucky to have the opportunity."

"Eric was my manager in a college wood bat league. I really benefited from his expertise of both the finer mechanical parts of the game and in preparing my body and mind to play every day. Eric was an ideal manager to play for: a good teacher of the game who looked out for our best interests as players and kept an open line of communication. My teammates and I certainly had great respect for him as a coach and as a person. I would recommend Eric Cormell to any young player looking to improve their game, have fun, and learn what it takes to play at the next level."

"I had the pleasure of playing under Coach Eric Cormell for my final year of college baseball at Oberlin College (2015). As a the starting right fielder for the team, I worked with Eric every day on hitting, baserunning and outfield play and I can say without a doubt that I never worked with a more experienced, professional, or knowledgeable coach in my entire career. Drawing from his numerous years coaching and playing professional baseball, From the very first day we worked together, Eric had a comprehensive offensive plan that prepared my team for all the challenges we encountered during a long, grueling season. Eric and I spent countless hours in the cage and in the outfield working together to improve my speed, technique, and mental toughness. He advocated for every player to put the team's goals ahead of personal stat lines and not take a single swing or defensive rep for granted. Eric's calm, professional demeanor in the dugout was a huge asset to the team as he inspired us to struggle through adversity and achieve our team goals of winning a conference championship.

Eric's effect on both the Oberlin College baseball program and my individual career was profound. With Eric leading our offense, the Oberlin Yeomen won the first North Coast Athletic Conference Championship in program history and made it to the semi-final round in our NCAA Tournament Regional. Personally, I enjoyed tremendous success working with Eric. Working with Eric caused my offensive production to increase dramatically: I hit for more power and drove in nearly twice as many runs as I had before our time together. I currently hold school records for hits, total bases, and sac flies in a season thanks in large part to being a part of Eric's hitting philosophy. Defensively, Eric helped turn me, a converted corner infielder, into an All Conference RF.

It was an absolute privilege to work with such a high caliber coach and quality person as Eric Cormell. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that I had to learn the game of baseball from him and I know that any other players who worked with him would say the same."
